In organising my son’s supports, we have made ample use of readily available computer apps (tools!) from Microsoft and Google.
We use freely available Google apps to manage staff rosters, communicate between the family and staff, keep everyone up-to-date on medication and practice issues, and share important documentation.
Paper records – like shift notes and behaviour data – are scanned and stored via Microsoft apps. This ensures information is promptly available and easily shared with allied health professionals.
Use of tools like these are established and maintained via simple processes followed by my son’s support team everyday. Microsoft’s Forms app allows me to streamline processes like tracking petty cash expenditure.
